Lord BlahBlahBlah, upon obtaining Santa’s bag of gifts after his crash, is attempting to regain his dark throne with a legion of toys he has possessed. The Mad Hatter continuously reorganizes his tea party, and a giant Egyptian hippo has emerged from the fountain seeking sustenance. In the middle of everything is Santa, who has fallen with Topper into the center of a renegade Bar Mitzvah. With a dozen new fighters entering the arena, there is no limit to the insanity that can prevail in the infamous Battle Royal Arena!

Game Rules: Frag: If it Moves, Shoot and Munchkin

Club Affiliation: The Men In Black; Steve Jackson Games volunteer

Number of Players:  8

Sponsor: Steve Jackson Games

Description:

Frag is a computer game without a computer. It's a "first-person shooter" on a tabletop. Move your fighter and frag your foes; draw cards for weapons, armor, and gadgets; move through the blood spatters to restore your own health! If you die, you respawn and come back shooting!

Munchkin

Go down in the dungeon. Kill everything you meet. Backstab your friends and steal their stuff. Grab the treasure and run.

Admit it. You love it.

This award-winning card game, designed by Steve Jackson, captures the essence of the dungeon experience . . . with none of that stupid roleplaying stuff. You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magic items. And what magic items! Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Wield the Staff of Napalm . . . or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon . . .

Caesar vs. Gaul

Scale: 15mm

GM:  Brian Sweeney

Club Affiliation: Table Top Gaming Society

Game Rules: DBM

Number of Players:  4

Description:

Trans-Alpine Gaul 58 B.C.E. Counsel Gaius Julius Caesar is notified of a mass Gallic migration of the Helvetia and several neighboring tribes from their homes in Switzerland, with the intent of passage across the lower Rhone and into greater Gaul. Rome is sworn to protect the sovereign tribal boundaries of the Aedui and her trading interests in the region.  Caesar quickly forbids the movement and marches against them. Thus began eight successive years of campaigns that would secure the Gaul for Rome and launch Caesar upon the most ambitious political careers Rome would ever endure.  With a few tribes having yet to cross; Caesar seems to have the battle that he secretly yearns for. Better yet, his scouts inform him that the fates have delivered into his hands the very tribe that was responsible for a stinging Roman defeat some years past. Caesar plans to set an example. Will he exact Rome's revenge and deliver a victory for Roman arms, recognition for himself, and most importantly wealth into his purse; or will Rome's legions be overwhelmed by the the furious charge of the desperate Gauls and be massacred, leaving Rome and history to turn upon the axis of different counsels fate?"

Session 5: Table 28

Not your childhood's Army men...

Time Period: Modern

Scale: 54mm

GM:  Ted Conn

Game Rules: "Home Grown"

Number of Players:  8

Description:

Remember the good ol' days when you were curious what a firecracker would do to the otherwise worthless landmine-finding green Army man? For some of us, that thought process stayed with us and through many years of education and various war movies, was finely cultivated into a love for wargaming.

This session is a skirmish-level, meeting engagement between green army men and non-green army men. Yes, the same army men you used to play with as a child. Come see what a mortar actually can do (in wargaming terms) to a crawling infantryman.
